Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah in the same team? Stop rubbing your eyes. It’s actually getting closer.

Al-Nassr manager Jorge Jesus has reportedly given the green light for the club to go and get the Liverpool icon this summer. And yes that means alongside the Portuguese GOAT himself. Defences in Saudi? They’ll be absolutely terrified.

According to Okaz, Jesus has approved the pursuit of Salah, who’s set to walk away from Anfield for free at the end of the 2025/2026 campaign. The Egyptian King’s time on Merseyside is done. And Saudi Arabia is ready to welcome him with open arms.

But here’s the catch. Jorge Jesus wants his own future sorted first.

Sources say the veteran coach is in talks over a contract extension with Al-Nassr’s management. No new deal for Jesus? No Salah push. Simple as that. Once the boss is locked in, then they go all out for the big one.

And make no mistake, this isn’t just about football. Salah is a cultural icon in the region. The Saudi Public Investment Fund views him as the ultimate signing. A poster boy. An ambassador. A statement.

Pairing him with Ronaldo? That’s box office on another level.

There’s been whispers about whether the two superstars could actually play together. Both like the ball. Both want goals. Both are alpha personalities. But honestly? Who cares. The sporting and commercial upside is massive.

Former pro Paul Jose M’Poku told GOAL recently: “I think Mo Salah will probably go to Saudi. I don’t know if it’s Al-Nassr, but yeah, he will go.”

He added that ownership changes could shake things up but the direction of travel is clear.

Salah’s Liverpool farewell has already been confirmed. He’s leaving. The only question is where. A hamstring injury has reportedly ended his season early, which feels like a sad, quiet end to a glorious Anfield career.

But the numbers don’t lie. Thirty eight appearances this term. Twelve goals. Nine assists. Still producing. Still world class.

Now the race is on. Al-Nassr aren’t alone. Several other Saudi Pro League clubs are sniffing around. The final decision? That’s down to Salah himself. He’ll pick the project that fits his next chapter.

Ronaldo, meantime, is committed to Al-Nassr through 2027. Still chasing records. Still hungry. Still box office.

If Jesus signs that extension and the club get their man? Riyadh will host the most frightening attack football has ever seen. Ronaldo x Salah. It’s not a dream anymore. It’s nearly here.
