Real Madrid Plot €100m Move for Osimhen to Unlock Mbappé’s Preferred Role

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a €100m plus bid to sign Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray as they look to reshape their attack and free Kylian Mbappé to operate permanently on the left wing, according to Fichajes.

The Spanish giants believe the time is right to bring in a pure No. 9 capable of offering immediate goal threat, physicality and consistent movement in the penalty area. Osimhen, who has been in outstanding form since joining Galatasaray, has emerged as a priority target for next season.

Fichajes reports that Madrid are seeking a striker who can deliver “finishing, pace and consistency”, insisting Osimhen “fits this profile perfectly: powerful, aggressive and possessing a natural scoring instinct aligned with Real Madrid’s philosophy.”

Galatasaray Expect a Huge Profit

Osimhen’s form in Turkey, combined with his contract situation, has intensified Madrid’s interest. However, any deal is expected to be complicated. Galatasaray paid €75m to sign the Nigerian from Napoli and are unwilling to sanction his exit without a significant return.

According to the report,
“The main obstacle is Galatasaray itself. The Turkish club are unlikely to let him go without a financial return matching his sporting impact.”

Madrid anticipate a transfer fee that could easily surpass €100m, especially if rival clubs enter the race. The Istanbul side believe they could recoup and even exceed their investment, potentially making Osimhen one of the most expensive sales of the summer window.

For Real Madrid, the outlay is viewed as strategic, with the 25 year old expected to deliver instant impact on the scoreboard and reshape their attacking structure.

Mbappé, Vinícius and a Tactical Chain Reaction

The move could also be influenced by uncertainty surrounding Vinícius Júnior’s future, with reports claiming the Brazilian will not extend his contract unless major changes occur at the club. His strained relationship with coach Xabi Alonso including public clashes and a fiery El Clásico incident has cast further doubt over his long-term position.

Should Vinícius depart or his influence diminish, Mbappé would be free to dominate the left flank his most devastating position while Osimhen becomes the focal point through the middle.

The report adds that Osimhen’s signing could trigger wider shockwaves across LaLiga and Europe, noting:
“Osimhen’s arrival would increase the global appeal of the league, intensify pressure on domestic rivals, and spark a chain reaction in the European transfer market.”
