ISTANBUL, June 24 Betandsured. Galatasaray are weighing a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Tolu Arokodare, with Super Eagles teammate Victor Osimhen reportedly championing the forward’s potential arrival at the Turkish champions this summer .

The Istanbul giants are bracing for the departure of Mauro Icardi, whose expiring contract will create a vacancy in the attacking department. With Osimhen expected to lead the line next season, the club are exploring options to provide support and competition, a search that has pointed toward the 24 year old Nigerian .

Arokodare’s future at Molineux is uncertain following a difficult debut campaign in English football. The striker arrived from Belgian side Genk last summer in a deal worth €26 million but managed just six goals and two assists in 38 appearances as Wolves endured a dismal season culminating in relegation to the Championship .

The club’s return to the second tier is likely to trigger a squad restructuring, and Arokodare is considered among the candidates for departure. While no formal asking price has been placed on the striker, whose contract runs until 2029, Turkish clubs are exploring a loan arrangement with an option or obligation to purchase .

The connection between the two Nigerian forwards is a driving factor behind Galatasaray’s interest. Arokodare has previously cited Osimhen as an inspiration, and the former Napoli striker is understood to have recommended his compatriot as a potential backup option, viewing his physical profile and presence as a complementary asset to the squad .

A three way Istanbul rivalry is emerging for Arokodare’s signature. Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş are also monitoring the situation, with the latter reportedly engaging Nigerian figures such as Daniel Amokachi to assist in negotiations . With Wolves preparing for Championship football and Arokodare seeking consistent top flight minutes, a move away from the West Midlands appears increasingly probable as the summer window progresses.
