The flying wing back was irresistible from the start, clearing a goal bound effort off his own line before setting up Inter’s opener with a pinpoint corner for Yann Bisseck’s headed finish. He rattled the crossbar with a wicked free kick soon after, then twice more turned provider, first for Marcus Thuram’s clever flick, and finally for Manuel Akanji to head home another set piece.
“I don’t feel like I’m anyone,” a typically humble Dimarco said afterwards. “In football, when things are going well you’re a phenomenon, but when things go badly you’re nothing. I keep working as I know how.”
His work ethic is fuelling a formidable Inter machine. Weston McKennie’s header gave Juve hope just before the hour, but they toiled until the final seconds when Kalulu bundled home from a corner.
