Saliba Pledges Arsenal Future, Acknowledges Madrid “Dream”

Arsenal’s defensive rock William Saliba has broke his silence on the persistent rumours connecting him to Real Madrid. While admitting that the interest from the Spanish giants is a “dream” for any player, the French international was firm that his heart is set on winning trophies in North London.

In a recent interview, the 24-year-old explained his position, saying, “When a club like Real Madrid calls, it is a dream, of course. But my head and my focus is only on Arsenal. We have a project to finish here.”

Saliba, who is widely considered one of the most complete defenders in Europe, only signed a massive long-term contract extension last year, which ties him to the Gunners until 2030. This commitment was made despite knowing of Real Madrid’s strong interest in his services.

His comments serves to reassure Arsenal fans of his loyalty while also acknowledging the pull of a club like Madrid. For now, any potential transfer looks highly unlikely, as Saliba seems fully invested in the project being built by manager Mikel Arteta, who has made the defender a cornerstone of his team.
